It’s that simple: journaling
It ain’t an S or even an A tear habit but I like it because life can be such a blur sometimes especially with the digital world and all. It’s a great memory kickstarter too! Which is useful for reflections and just smiling looking back at happy memories ^^.
If you find an interest in trying it out explore and research the many methods of journaling! Bullet-Journaling works well for many.
How to do it:
How to build any habit source: Article
Cue: For Journaling I use my habit checklist and the evening time as a cue to write down what I experienced the last few days.
Craving: want to remember the good and bad days and write my thoughts down so I can reflect on and store my memories. Sometimes just writing things down can make you see a lot of new learnings from the same experience.
Response: go on my pc → open my notes app (Notion) → Fill out my Journaling prompts or just delete them and write freely
Reward: Looking back and feeling grateful + check of the habit from my habit list

Notion features I use in the image above are:
Button → add new days by copy pasting the template abov
Ctrl + F and Ctrl + Alt + F → To quickly change the dates
(from 00.00.YEAR → 00.Month.YEAR) and then just fill in the days by handThe Toggle list and Indents (TAB) → To collapse my prompts so I can easily delete them and write without them or just use the Evening prompt set since I often don’t use the Morning prompt set.

Get Good at Your Craft, and Others Will Come to You
This year, I embraced the mantra: consistency breeds mastery. MASTER. THE. MUNDANE.
Whether it was diving into new skills or experimenting with jobs, I prioritized showing up and taking action. Almpst every day was a step forward, even if it felt small. I reminded myself that failure only happens when I stop trying. By front-loading the pain of hard work, I avoided the self-inflicted harm of procrastination and when it did strike I tried to place systems into my life to help avoid distractions.
I leaned heavily on trusting my habits, task list, and schedules. Focusing on one thing at a time—and resisting the temptation of stimulating distractions—helped me build momentum. I also learned the importance of consuming content that both inspires and teaches. Creators like Nicky Case became a north star for me, proving that learning can be both fun and fulfilling.
You can tell my website was heavily inspired by Nicky if you compare the two: NickyCase.me + AydanLigon.de

Experimentation was another key focus. While I’m still young, I’m committed to trying new things and exploring different paths. This mindset has not only expanded my skills but also my confidence. I’ve realized that appearance matters—not in a superficial way, but as a reflection of self-respect. Confidence radiates through the way you carry yourself: hair, skin, smell, posture, and fashion all play a role.
By pretending people already enjoy what I create, I’ve pushed through self-doubt and embraced my potential. The journey isn’t about perfection but progress. Baby steps, week by week, have made all the difference. I'm going to try to be much MUCH more creative in 2025 and post weekly and maybe even manage to post a video every month at least that's my goal from now on.
Emotional Intelligence and Mental Health ☂
Mastering the Inner Game
2024 was a year of deep emotional growth. I’ve learned that I control my emotions, mood, and decisions. Self-acceptance and forgiveness became daily practices. I’ve worked hard to embrace the love I deserve and allow myself to feel proud of my accomplishments and not let fear and self-doubt block my creativity.
One of the most transformative lessons was the power of “I” statements. Speaking to myself with kindness and clarity made it easier to navigate challenges. The phrase “You can’t wait until life isn’t hard anymore before you decide to be happy” and "Push the boulder" became guiding principles. More and more days stared feeling like Groundhog Day—a fresh start to recommit to my goals, well-being, and spread smiles :).
I also honed my ability to assess reversal tolerance. After making a bad decision, I asked myself, “Can I tolerate the pain of reversing this/not continuing the thing I know is bad for me?” (If yes stop if not, continue.) This question helped me to get back on track and avoid repeating past mistakes. Progress isn’t linear, and I’ve learned to forgive myself for relapses.
Like I LOVE DATA, but sometimes the truth hurts...
My Digital Wellbeing App (app time tracker) report tells me I have replaced my gaming distraction with Discord. Sa. and So. are fun, then Mo. kicks in, and I'm committed, but I fall off during the week, and I open more apps and time is wasted, which means I get lazier as the week progresses, which is equivilant to my old gaming distraction pattern. I guess it's progress because Discord is better than games for me. Conclusion is follow my scheadules more strictly no more Discord or games before I've done some work in the morning.
The mind is a fascinating thing isn't it?
Finding Joy in the Journey
Through all of this, I’ve learned to balance ambition with self-compassion. Data and reflection have been invaluable tools, even when the truth stings. By applying what I’ve learned, I’ve become a little bit better (or less worse >.<) each week.
Ultimately, 2024 taught me that happiness isn’t something you wait for—it’s something you choose every day. With each small victory, I’ve moved closer to the person I want to be. Here’s to carrying these lessons into the future, one step at a time. CHEERS!!
